"Grandma, can I hold it?"

That "it" was a video camera. My grandparents exposed me to the world of photography as a young child. They always had cameras around the house and had documentation of EVERYTHING. I was always so amazed to be able to look back and re-live those moments.

Naturally, I took a liking to documenting our family gatherings. I really enjoyed getting in people's faces, capturing their warmth and joy.

Not much has changed.

For the past decade, I have been drawn to photographing intimate portraits of others.
